Take Action
This is a moment of opportunity in Texas.
State and school district leaders need to be encouraged NOW to resolve the inequities that are shortchanging low-income students, Hispanic students and African-American students.
All students will never get a fair shot at success until we give them their fair share of strong teachers.
Closing the teacher quality and teacher salary gaps begins with YOU.
- Organize friends and neighbors to attend your local school board's next meeting and urge them to take action.
- Contact your school district's superintendent and board members and insist that all students get their fair share.
- Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper to alert others in your community about this problem.
- Contact State Education Commissioner Robert Scott and ask him to ensure that all students in Texas get their fair share of good teachers.
- Spread the word to friends, family members and other concerned Texans. Getting started is easy - just send them the Their Fair Share video TODAY!
